UK firm PervasID is helping retailers accurately monitor and locate goods within their stores.

The launch of TrackMaster 2X brings two-metre location accuracy and single reader coverage extending up to 240m² even in densely packed warehouses or stores. The reader ensures better than 99% stock accuracy within minutes through seamless integration with retailer APIs, revealing the precise location and movement of all tagged goods.

Using PervasID’s passive battery-free RFID reader technology, TrackMaster 2X automates inventory and asset tracking in near real time. Retailers can accurately monitor and locate goods within their stores using existing tags, eliminating the need for labour-intensive manual handheld scanning.

The advantages for retailers encompass real-time inventory management insights that inform shopper behaviour analysis, drive sales strategies, facilitate replenishment and reordering, and optimise omnichannel sales, notably bopis (buy online pick-up in store). The system also mitigates shrinkage from both customer and employee theft across stores, warehouses and transport thanks to its inconspicuous monitoring.

Deployed with blue-chip retailers worldwide, TrackMaster is facilitated through the RFID provider SML and its Clarity enterprise software. Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), TrackMaster’s latest version has an antenna architecture that reduces equipment and installation costs, ensuring an under 12 months return on investment for retailers of all sizes.

Additionally, an AI-powered data interface facilitates inventory data analytics.

“There are immense benefits for retailers in accurate and timely location tracking of goods within their stores yet, until now, no solution has met the performance and affordability criteria to deliver this,” said Sabesan Sithamparanathan, president of PervasID (pervasid.com). “With TrackMaster 2X, retailers can now capitalise on highly accurate, near real-time tracking of all their goods, offering significant advantages in terms of waste reduction and saved staff time.”
