Home furnishing retailer JYSK is rolling out French firm SES-Imagotag’s Vusion IoT platform in 152 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium.

With already more than 1500 stores in Europe equipped with the technology, JYSK will now have the opportunity to digitise more locations by adopting the IoT cloud platform.

The Scandinavian retailer will be able to save time spent by store employees on error-prone and tedious tasks, enabling them to focus on higher-value-added missions and customer service.

The platform can help retailers revitalise their stores and embrace sustainable development by turning their physical stores into digital assets that are automated, data-driven and connected.

Retailers can increase price and promotion agility, accuracy, on and offline synchronisation, and chain-level central compliance monitoring. They should be able to reduce cost, out-of-stocks, inventories and waste.

The platform lets retailers monitor shelves in real time and improve compliance, OSA and inventory data accuracy. This means they can increase the efficiency of replenishment and order picking, and grow online revenue from stores.

Shoppers should see price integrity, better service, availability, inshore guidance, fast check-out and product information.

Vusion is said to make physical stores more efficient, omnichannel and sustainable, so retailers can provide better service and information, a personalised shopping experience, as well as collaboration with brands. This can enhance a retailer’s overall business model and profitability.

“SES-Imagotag is the optimal partner to bring the best-of-breed to facilitate our main goal of providing a seamless experience for customers,” said Keld Marott, CIO at JYSK. “We are delighted to reinforce our partnership after a first successful roll-out in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland and to continue to expand it to other countries. SES-Imagotag has given us 24/7 support and is quite understanding of our business needs and requirements; that’s why, we look forward to leveraging its comprehensive experience in the market.”

Sébastien Fourcy, senior executive vice president at SES-Imagotag, added: “We are proud and pleased to have been chosen once again by JYSK to strengthen our collaboration, this time in Netherlands and Belgium. Based on the partnership we have built over the years, the deployment of the Vusion platform in more than 150 additional stores represents a great satisfaction for us. It is also another opportunity to help them to revitalise their stores, and turn them into powerful digital assets to increase employee and customer satisfaction.”
