Canadian company LocoMobi World is using artificial intelligence to power robots and smart glasses for smart city applications.

“We realise where the future is going” said CEO Grant Furlane, “So we have created a special bucket list that provides these advance features now.”

The Mobi technology was developed over the past three years and introduced this autumn in beta form.

The autonomous robot follows schedules and routes, and enforces parking regulations, monitors vehicles and traffic, detects violations, and even gives pedestrians directions. MobiVision allows the use of glasses, with the wearer’s choice of lenses, that can detect any type of alerts that they have been programmed to visualise. For example, a police officer could be directing traffic and alerted when a stolen car drives by or a missing person is spotted.

Finally, the company has developed the MobiVerse metaverse site so customers can log in to the showroom to experience the products and receive live service training and support. In the future, it plans to use metaverse for paying or disputing parking tickets and other infractions.

The system is controlled by LocoMobi World’s WorldStream Cloud Portal powered by LPR Express. With the highest read rate in the industry at 99.9% accuracy, the licence plate recognition (LPR) system eliminates trespassers through access key sharing – no fobs, keys or cards to be passed around or cloned.

In addition, the firm has installed enterprise entry ticket stations. The system attaches the plate number to the ticket and exit payment, which reads the plate and computes the fees automatically for visitors and non-registered guests. With PassagePass, the entry and exit are frictionless and speed up traffic.

Property managers can monitor activities and equipment for their property in one central location in real time with access to analytical reports. There will be additional revenue control equipment for visitors, including payment kiosks, smart gates and messaging systems.

Soon, users will be linked throughout the city and have exclusive offers as they navigate through the network with MoveBe, which allows merchants to create offers or incentives to drive customers to their location. Offers and incentives can be adjusted in real time depending on performance.

MoveBe is an application created to help merchants drive customer traffic to their businesses through various programmes and offers such as refunding a customer’s public transit ride, paying for their parking or giving them credit for a cab ride.

LocoMobi World is a cloud-based smart-city technology company specialising in parking, tolling, transit, storage, asset tracking, fleet and threat management. The WorldStream cloud portal is said to be the first fully distributed cloud infrastructure management system.

Its cloud-based LPR system provides revenue control, virtual permitting, violation and citation management, toll road management, managed traffic lanes, gated lane environments, and residential multi-level condominium building parking control and access.

The company also provides payment kiosks, smart barrier gates, solar powered parking meters and other innovations to ensure revenue security.
