French digital building creator Legrand has expanded its collections of designer switches and outlets to include smart lighting that can connect with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit.

The specialist in electrical and networking has added its Netatmo smart home technology to switches, dimmers and outlets in its Adorne and Radiant design-inspired collections. Netatmo technology is said to deliver the benefits of smart lighting control with reliability and flexibility.

Homeowners can use it to manage their lights and power, set scenes, create automated schedules, and more, from anywhere through Legrand’s Home + Control app.

For whole home use, Adorne and Radiant with Netatmo can create a robust, dedicated network that supports control of lights and power in any home. This makes it suitable for larger homes and homes where wifi signals might struggle due to building material or the use of many smart products.

They install in place of standard switches and outlets, and can be setup in a few taps. They can also easily connect to Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple HomeKit, or to other home automation systems, to provide more comprehensive control.

By being built on the Netatmo platform, Adorne and Radiant products use less energy to operate and can increase flexibility. With battery-powered, wireless smart switches and dimmers, thy let users easily add three-way lighting control, anywhere they want, without any wiring at all. Further, the switches, dimmers and outlets grant in-app visibility to their energy consumption, helping users monitor their usage to reduce cost and waste.
