German electronics company Infineon Technologies is pairing its semiconductor portfolio with Florida-based Klika Tech’s integrations of IoT cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop innovations for smart buildings.

“Klika Tech is a strong addition to Infineon’s partner network, offering complementary capabilities to develop innovations for smart building applications,” said Oliver Henning, head of partnership management at Infineon.

Klika Tech is a developer of end-to-end IoT and cloud technology and an Amazon Partner Network (APN) consulting partner. The company is supporting product development based on Infineon’s products and provides multi-domain and multi-industry experience for the collaborative launch of systems, products and market-ready technology, as well as rapid development kits with AWS cloud integrations.

The companies are focusing on end-to-end products and services across applications such as smart building, smart city, smart home, connected devices, and autonomous and electrified mobility.

“Collaborations among hardware, software and services providers are the genesis of the custom IoT and cloud that are enabling companies to reduce their development efforts and expedite time to market,” said Gennadiy Borisov, president of Klika Tech. “This holds especially true for smart building and smart home applications. We look forward to building on our relationship with Infineon and the integration of their outstanding sensor portfolio with AWS.”

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) performance is a critical part of business operations. Maintaining clean, safe environments is a particularly acute concern for airports, hospitals and similar critical infrastructures. Unscheduled downtime of HVAC can cause unplanned costs, impact employee productivity, lead to IT downtime and lead to health problems for occupants.

Scheduled maintenance of a business HVAC service programme will not always identify problems that can lead to machine failure or ineffective operation. Products based on cloud and machine learning provide predictive maintenance capabilities for equipment condition analysis, inform maintenance personnel, and can trigger tasks to keep machines running at optimum levels. Implementing a predictive maintenance plan can detect improper installation, make equipment more energy efficient, predict costly failures, and extend equipment life to reduce total costs of ownership.

Founded in 2013 by business-oriented technologists, Klika Tech is headquartered in Florida with operations and offices across Europe and North America. The company co-creates end-to-end hardware, embedded, and software products for a range of industries and applications including smart home, smart buildings and smart city platforms, connected healthcare, smart retail, connected agriculture, asset tracking and logistics, connected auto, smart mobility, and cloud IoT hub integrations.
