T-Mobile has certified Fibocom’s FM101-NA LTE-Advanced module.

This means the module can now leverage T-Mobile’s nationwide network to empower IoT applications such as FWA, IIoT and C-V2X.

The FM101-NA is an optimised LTE-A module designed to boost efficient connectivity, and is suitable for applications such as CPE and STB.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X12+ LTE modem, the LTE Cat 6 module features 3GPP Release 12 standards. It delivers maximum downlink rate of 300Mbit/s and uplink rates of 50Mbit/s.

Coming with an M.2 form factor measuring 30.0 by 42.0 by 2.3mm, it is compatible with Fibocom’s NL668 LTE Cat 4 module, enabling users to migrate from LTE to LTE-A while reducing investment concerns.

Along with functionalities such as DFOTA, the module has a multi-constellation GNSS receiver, including GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Galileo, for positioning and navigation. Meanwhile, it supports multiple operating systems (Linux, Android and Windows), various internet protocols as well as standard interfaces such as USB3.0, PCIe2.0, uart, USIM and PCM, allowing flexibility and ease of integration for deployments.

To date, the module has been certified by FCC, IC, TSCA, RoHS, HF, GCF, PTCRB and now T-Mobile, meaning is ready to help users worldwide to develop their devices.

“We are proud to announce that the Fibocom FM101-NA module has been certified by T-Mobile,” said Gene Santana, vice president at Fibocom. “Receiving the certification ahead can significantly reduce time to market and help customer to keep development cost under control, accelerating digital transformation with better efficiency and reliability.”
