Conectric Networks, a Californian wireless IoT start-up, and New York-based Black Buffalo have agreed to collaborate on delivering IoT blockchain fusion technologies.
 
Black Buffalo is an artificial intelligence and IoT smart systems firm and a member of South Korea’s Hyundai BS&C family of companies. Its main offering is operational and includes blockchain enabled smart systems for IoT product manufacturers.
 
The two companies are working together to:

• Secure massive real-time IoT sensor data with smart contracts in public-private hybrid blockchain software;
• Provide middleware over blockchain to integrate IoT sensor data, operational systems and analytics platforms for defence, telecoms, building operators, industrial factories and ESG reporting; and
• Integrate smart city applications using blockchain across municipal boundaries and disparate operational and data management vendors.

Black Buffalo’s technology caters to smart cities, homes, factories, offices and buildings. It provides a spectrum of services and systems to assist IoT and M2M transaction security, safety, functionality, and transaction payment processing.

Black Buffalo’s market demand has been strong globally within cities, factories, homes and apartment buildings. Conectric’s scalable wireless sensor private networking and sensor pack devices provide for Black Buffalo’s domestic entry into these highly scaled, sensor dense and security conscious business environments.

Conectric and Black Buffalo are performing technical integrations and testing. They plan to launch the combination before the end of the year, making it commercially available to global customers.

Conectric Networks provides real-time wireless mesh technology enabling billions of battery-powered sensors, devices, software and artificial intelligence to communicate autonomously. The technology is found in wireless sensors, routers and an open edge API used by data centres, smart buildings and carrier IoT.
