Austrian company FemSense has brought its fertility and cycle tracking technology to the USA and promises to keep user data outside of the USA.

The company keeps the data secure in Austrian servers outside of US jurisdiction. The company says it is committed to women’s privacy and right to choose.

FemSense can be used to help plan or prevent a pregnancy by letting users know when they are most fertile, giving them control over their fertility and letting them make decisions about their actions during their fertile window.

The FDA-cleared FemSense system is a medically certified product consisting of a wearable sensor patch and the supporting cycle tracking app available on iOS and Android.

Based on previous cycles, FemSense can predict the user’s fertile window; the user must wear the sensor patch for these five to seven days. The app then does all the measuring and analysing and lets the user know when her ovulation has been measured and confirmed. A glance at the app at any time during the month will tell the user whether her fertility is high or low on that day.

Users download the app, apply the patch and track fertility. They can track and confirm ovulation with the patch and app.

The technology was developed by biomedical and fertility experts and recommended by gynaecologists. It has helped with more than 14,000 pregnancies.

The app tells users at a glance whether their fertility is high or low each day.

The patch measures body temperature during the fertile window, the algorithm interprets the temperature measurements, and the app gives daily updates on fertility status.

It is suitable for fertile women who bleed and ovulate and if their cycle is between 21 and 35 days and the cycles do not differ more than plus or minus three days.

The hormone-free and natural sensor patch is worn underneath the arm. Once activated, the patch measures the body temperature continuously for up to seven days.

The ovulation tracker simplifies the temperature method to track a menstrual cycle and measures and confirms ovulation.
