Taiwanese firm D-Link has introduced a whole-building Wifi 6 wireless mesh system for device-dense smart homes.

The Covr systems come in multi-pack options that combine Wifi 6 with mesh technology to increase speeds and capacity.

The Covr X1870 includes multi-pack options that are all equipped with Wifi 6 and mesh technology to reduce network congestion for the modern device-dense smart home. With speeds of up to 1.8Gbit/s total, they are suitable for simultaneous 4K streaming, VR gaming, video calling and keeping the smart home connected. They also have four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and one Gigabit Ethernet WAN port for optional wired connectivity.

OFDMA and Mu-Mimo technology communicate more data to more devices, and BSS colouring makes the network more efficient, improving the overall Wifi 6 performance. The wifi mesh lets users expand their network according to their needs, while smart roaming and smart steering ensure stable connection throughout the home.

The series also includes WPA3 encryption. Set-up is easy with the D-Link Wifi App, which also offers enhanced parental controls.

There are four pack options: single-pack Covr-X1870 covers up to 275m2; two-pack Covr-X1872 covers up to 510m2; three-pack Covr-X1873 covers up to 740m2; and four-pack Covr-X1874 covers up to 925m2.
