Canadian firms PCL Construction and Giatec Scientific are working together to enhance concrete testing technologies and IoT connected construction sites.

Giatec specialises in smart testing technologies and real-time data collection for concrete. The collaboration will use PCL’s Jobsite Insights (JSI) smart construction risk management platform. The cloud-based platform provides a single-pane view into all aspects of work at a jobsite.

PCL used Giatec’s SmartRock technology in Edmonton’s Ice District, which recently received Engineering News-Record’s Global Best Project Award.
