Auto subscription software specialist Clutch Technologies has announced an API integration with data analytics platform provider Synaptiv to help Jaguar Land Rover dealers simplify and more efficiently manage loan fleets and fixed operations business.

Loan cars are provided by dealers to customers whose cars are under repair. In addition to providing an enhanced service for customers, loan vehicles can be a way of creating new sales.

According to Clutch, digitising the loan car experience is a growing trend among dealers, with the prospect of increasing margin in fixed operations, which can be the most profitable part of their business. Clutch is aiming to enhance dealer management of loan fleets by eliminating the need for third-party telematics devices. 

The integration with Synaptiv is one of many technology suppliers Clutch is working with as part of its goal to better streamline the activation of connected cars, while driving down dealer costs to operate their fleets.

In addition to Synaptiv, Clutch also has collaborations with Cox Automotive’s Xtime and fleet management software specialist TSD. Cox Auomotive is the parent company of Clutch.
