Toshiba brings self-checkout to Costa Rican supermarkets

Costa Rican supermarket chain Megasuper has installed Toshiba’s self-checkout system in its stores.

Megasuper’s 78 stores make it the second-largest retailer in Costa Rica. Its recent decision to implement self-checkout highlights the company’s dedication to harnessing technology to cater to the changing preferences of its customers, streamline store operations, boost sales, and ensure security and fraud prevention.
The System 7 self-checkout enhances the checkout experience for shoppers and is designed for easy adoption and operation by store staff.
