City Furniture, one of America’s top-20 furniture retailers, is using 3D product visualisation so online shoppers can explore products from every angle.
The technology from Ohio-based 3D Cloud uses interactive 360˚ spins allowing shoppers to see furniture in their space with augmented reality, and even design entire rooms in 3D.
These 3D experiences increase engagement and eliminate guesswork, giving shoppers better tools to explore their options and collaborate with others. The 360˚ spins captivate shoppers, driving an 89% interaction rate with an average engagement time of 55 seconds per product. The WebAR augmented reality option is activated 14% of the time when available, and 57% of 3D room planner users save their projects, demonstrating interest and the desire to return to complete a purchase.
“We partnered with 3D Cloud because they share our commitment to innovation, quality and exceptional customer experiences,” said Andrew Koenig, CEO of City Furniture. “Scaling 3D content is challenging, and having the right partner makes all the difference. 3D Cloud delivers.”
With the 3D Cloud digital asset management system, a 3D product model is created once and deployed across multiple touchpoints such as 360˚ spins, WebAR and the 3D room planner in addition to a collection of product configurators and sectional configurators that are coming soon.
Visit the Edgewater Peyton White Medium Two-arm Sectional product page (www.cityfurniture.com/product/9722639/edgewater-peyton-white-medium-two-arm-sectional) to try it out:
- Click the 360 button to view the sectional from every angle.
- Tap the AR button to place it in a space with WebAR.
- Explore the sectional inside the 3D room planner by selecting the Inspiration path and clicking on the Coastal Living Room image or selecting Shop by Category from the left navigation then enter “edgewater” in the search bar.
“City Furniture is a clear leader in writing the future of furniture retail,” said Beck Besecker, CEO of 3D Cloud. “Their dedication to creating a better, more efficient and more beautiful way to shop aligns perfectly with our mission – one 3D model, every application.”
Koenig added: “The idea of one 3D product powering multiple applications is instrumental in orchestrating our vision for a consistent hybrid customer experience. This is the most efficient, most compelling approach to 3D available in furniture retail today.”
