Massachusetts-based NewStore has built an app for European action sports and lifestyle company Boardriders that delivers an immersive experience designed to engage customers, foster loyalty and drive sales.
The Quiksilver shopping app is available on iOS and Android across France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and UK.
Since its launch in mid-February, the revenue generated by the app has already exceeded initial development costs, providing a rapid return on investment while underscoring the power of mobile as a key touchpoint. This milestone also strengthens the partnership between NewStore and Boardriders, Quiksilver’s parent company, following the successful launch of the Roxy Club app in 2021.
“We’ve experienced incredible results since launching the Roxy app with NewStore, and the early success we’ve seen with Quiksilver has already proven the value of this continued partnership,” said Nur Ghossien Martin, director at Boardriders. “The rapid RoI speaks to how well these apps resonate with our customers, while the advanced features enhance their shopping experience. NewStore will continue to be a key partner as we advance our digital strategy.”
The Quiksilver app is supported by value-driven features that come standard, including:
- Dynamic push notifications: Real-time messaging to engage customers with promotions, updates and exclusive campaigns.
- Immersive product lookbooks: A visually rich shopping experience, allowing users to explore curated collections and make purchases with ease.
- Engaging brand stories: Swipeable content on the home screen to highlight campaigns, new arrivals and promotions.
- Seamless loyalty integration: A rewards experience that allows users to track their customer profile, apply vouchers at checkout and unlock exclusive perks.
- Flexible app extensions: Customisable integrations that enhance app functionality without complex development.
“Shopping apps are a critical part of the omnichannel journey, bridging the gap between digital and physical retail to drive business results,” said Michael DeSimone, CEO of NewStore. “The success of the Quiksilver app validates this and underscores the unmatched time-to-value of our platform. Taking friction out of the shopping experience is at the core of what we do, and enabling retailers to adopt new capabilities at their own pace is a huge part of that. With NewStore, Boardriders can continue to deliver exceptional experiences across its portfolio of brands.”
