Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs, California, is rolling out frictionless checkout stores to help fans enjoy refreshments and snacks during events.

The stores are using California-based AiFi,’s Grab & Go stands within the venue. These are designed to enhance the fan experience. Fans can select which food and drink items they’d like to purchase and walk out without waiting in line or scanning to pay, so they can get back to their seats faster.

This latest opening at Acrisure Arena underscores AiFi’s commitment to driving seamless, cutting-edge retail that redefines traditional retail experiences.”

The arena is the home arena of the American Hockey League’s Coachella Valley Firebirds (cvfirebirds.com), and is a primary venue for events in the area.

Fans can choose from a variety of food and beverage options, including snacks, sodas and alcoholic drinks. To streamline the purchasing process, fans will be required to pre-authorise a $25 card charge before entering the stand. This pre-authorisation is like petrol stations when fuel is pumped and will not result in an actual charge. If the guest spends less than $25, a credit will be issued within three to five days, with the average often being quicker. The pre-authorisation drops off the credit card statement as other retail store purchases do. Debit transactions will have a three to five-day credit.

To purchase items, fans can simply tap their credit card or use Apple Pay or Google Pay devices. A receipt will be available on exit by scanning a QR code, and the receipt will be emailed to the guest within minutes. 

Staff will be present to verify identification before purchasing alcohol.
