Ohio-based clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch is rolling out Nedap’s iD Cloud platform across stores in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
Dutch firm Nedap specialises in item-level inventory visibility.
Following a 15-store pilot, Abercrombie & Fitch began deploying Nedap’s iD Cloud Store technology in June, with full implementation scheduled to be completed about now. The rollout underscores A&F’s priority to improve omnichannel fulfilment, inventory accuracy and on-shelf product availability.
“Inventory visibility is crucial to serving our customers seamlessly, both digitally and in-store,” said Lauren Morr, senior vice president at Abercrombie & Fitch. “We chose Nedap not only for its innovative and advanced technology, but also because of the dedicated expertise within its iD Cloud community. The partnership enables us to optimise our operations with increased inventory accuracy and visibility.”
A&F’s deployment of iD Cloud Store streamlines essential store processes, including in-store order fulfilment and inventory replenishment from the back-of-house to the front-of-house, enhancing overall productivity. By scaling the software in such a short timeframe, this strategy should advance omnichannel performance and position A&F for long-term success with increased inventory visibility.
“Abercrombie & Fitch’s transformation through the years has been remarkable, and its renewed strength as a business is a testament to bold decisions and clear strategy,” said Bruno Bakker, director at Nedap (www.nedap-retail.com). “With iD Cloud, it is now taking the next leap forward, elevating its already strong omnichannel capabilities to an entirely new level. Together, we are building a future-proof retail foundation where real-time inventory visibility fuels efficiency, customer satisfaction and growth worldwide.”
A&F (corporate.abercrombie.com) operates iconic brands including Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie Kids, Hollister, Gilly Hicks and YPB.
