At last week’s CES in Las Vegas, Linxens, in collaboration with UnaBiz and NXP, unveiled a smart label programme for the supply chains and logistics sector.
These labels aim to reduce environmental impact, streamline operations and help companies meet regulatory requirements such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the logistics sector, Linxens’ autonomous labels use Sigfox 0G technology owned by UnaBiz (www.unabiz.com) to enable seamless track-and-trace services indoors and outdoors, addressing the growing demand for efficient, data-driven supply chains.
Leveraging years of manufacturing expertise, French firm Linxens has developed high-performance, eco-friendly labels that provide end-to-end visibility in logistics operations. Applications include precise inventory management and customisable global tracking, making them suitable for businesses aiming to enhance efficiency while meeting sustainability goals.
At less than 5mm thick, the labels are sleek yet robust, helping integration into logistics processes. Constructed from bio-sourced plastics and recyclable materials, these labels can reduce environmental impact. By using energy harvesting technology, the labels are designed for autonomous IoT operations.
The smart labels offer flexible connectivity options to meet diverse operational needs: Sigfox 0G technologyfor large-scale IoT deployments; Wirepas technology for indoor, high-precision applications; and satellite connectivity, a CES 2025 Innovation Award honouree, for global tracking coverage.
By integrating these technologies, Linxens ensures businesses can achieve precision, efficiency and sustainability in their logistics operations.
“Our years of expertise in electronic assembly and converting processes have allowed us to develop a product that meets the demands of today’s markets while addressing environmental concerns,” said Laurent Coussonnet of Linxens. “By combining innovative design with a commitment to sustainability, Linxens is paving the way for greener and smarter IoT with a huge impact on the industry.”
Linxens (www.linxens.com) has 3000 employees worldwide, and eight production facilities and seven R&D centres in Europe and Asia.
