Seattle-based start-up Hubble Network is using Bluetooth LE to help enterprises keep track of their assets.
The company enables Bluetooth devices to connect directly to space. Its BLE Finding Network was built specifically for enterprise use.
While consumer platforms such as Apple’s and Google’s find my device apps brought BLE discovery to personal devices, Hubble is now bringing that same reach and simplicity to businesses, offering real-time visibility and full data ownership, and on a global scale.
“Consumer networks proved what’s possible, but businesses were left out,” said Alex Haro, co-founder of Hubble. “We’re giving them a powerful alternative with global visibility, zero infrastructure and full ownership of their data.”
The network leverages nearly 100 million passive scanners across gateways, smartphones and partner infrastructure; powered by low-cost BLE chips already embedded in billions of devices. This network covers homes, cities, transit systems and industrial sites, enabling comprehensive global asset tracking for enterprises.
Security features let users protect data with encryption, rotating IDs and verified endpoints. It is also developer friendly, enabling seamless integration with open SDKs and APIs.
Enterprise can use this network to monitor tools, inventory and equipment globally, as well as tracking assets in transit, on job sites or in the field. They can instantly check temperature with BLE sensor tags. For workplace safety, they can locate badges and wearables in hazardous environments. And it can help with equipment sharing, providing visibility and usage insights across distributed teams.
The network is now live and available for commercial deployment, including developer tools and onboarding support.
In March 2024, Hubble made history with the first-ever Bluetooth connection to space (vimeo.com/925542097/15f43fee51). With a 60-satellite constellation planned by 2028, the company aims to connect one billion devices worldwide.
Founded in 2021, Hubble (hubble.com) is creating the world’s first satellite-powered Bluetooth network, delivering global connectivity without cellular infrastructure. Backed by experts in radio frequency, aerospace, engineering and industrial IoT, Hubble enables real-time, low-power connections that could unlock possibilities across industries worldwide.
