Deloitte and TeamViewer have joined forces to enable vision picking in complex warehouse situations.

TeamViewer’s AR vision picking technology is being combined with SAP’s EWM extended warehouse management system through Deloitte’s logistics consultants.

The aim is to digitalise manual work processes in supply chain and logistics by establishing vision picking as the standard for complex warehouse picking operations, tackling difficulties such as increasing pressure on global supply chains and high staff turnover.

Designed for frontline workers and warehouse operators, the vision-picking technology (www.teamviewer.com/en/solutions/use-cases/vision-picking) delivers benefits such as faster, hands-free picking, reduced errors, improved workplace ergonomics and faster onboarding. Warehouse managers profit from real-time monitoring, control over their operations and customisable workflows. Deloitte’s consultancy knowledge helps companies introduce this in their warehouses without much effort.

“With this partnership, we support customers to digitally transform their logistics processes and tackle their most pressing business challenges in this area,” said Stijn Van Hoof, SAP lead at Deloitte (www2.deloitte.com). “Companies running SAP EWM can seamlessly benefit from both Deloitte’s comprehensive consultancy services and TeamViewer’s leading AR platform to improve their warehouse logistics processes and overall picking efficiency.”

Jan Junker, executive vice president at TeamViewer, added: “The partnership with Deloitte is based on a common goal: supporting companies in their digital transformation through cutting-edge technologies. Our vision picking significantly improves manual warehousing processes, resulting in faster operations, better accuracy, and overall higher productivity. Moreover, it reduces the training and onboarding time of workers in a high employee churn environment. I am looking forward to expanding use cases and jointly explore new opportunities with Deloitte.”
