Cold chain service provider RealCold is deploying Blue Yonder’s warehouse management system (WMS) to transform its warehouse operations digitally.
The project will be implemented Blue Yonder partner Netlogistik.
While traditional supply chains face many problems, cold chain operators are met with even more complex challenges. When managing goods that are both time and temperature sensitive, speed, efficiency and accuracy are essential to ensure the safety and quality of inventory.
Founded in 2022, RealCold was established to address the shifting trends and unique needs of food processors, retailers and the food service industry by leveraging a rapidly growing national network of high-throughput facilities and a range of value-added services. The company operates five facilities in high-consumption markets across the USA and plans to open two additional cold storage facilities in early 2025 in Florida and Texas, with another location in New Jersey scheduled for occupancy early next year.
To support this growth, RealCold sought a proven, scalable and resilient SaaS offering that was configurable to handle the varied complexity of operational warehouse requirements across its core customer segments. The company selected Arizona-based Blue Yonder based on its cold chain experience and end-to-end software.
With the Blue Yonder offering supported by Netlogistik, RealCold should be able to achieve faster start-up times for new customer operations through accelerated onboarding and streamlined system integrations. The system provides visibility into end-to-end warehouse processes to increase accuracy, efficiency and customer service levels. It leverages intelligent insights gleaned from robust data analysis to improve productivity and performance. And it supports diverse and evolving requirements through expansive configuration settings and customisable workflows.
“Our customers have a wide range of storage, distribution and fulfilment requirements, from high-volume case pick to direct-to-consumer delivery,” said Keith Goldsmith, CEO of RealCold (www.realcold.com). “Blue Yonder’s end-to-end warehouse management enables us to effectively manage diverse operations while seamlessly integrating with our existing technology and infrastructure, ensuring our clients receive the best possible service and outcomes.”
Jagan Reddy, managing partner at Netlogistik (netlogistik.com), added: “With our extensive experience in 3PL and Blue Yonder implementations, Netlogistik is excited to support RealCold in scaling their operations to meet dynamic cold chain demands.”
And Nafe Hagen, general manager at Blue Yonder (blueyonder.com), said: “Blue Yonder warehouse management offers RealCold the flexibility to rapidly scale and adapt their operations to meet constantly changing demands. We’re excited to team up with Netlogistik to help RealCold achieve profitable growth and provide their customers with a competitive advantage.”
