North Carolina smart energy company Trilliant has acquired Colombian firm PrimeStone, a privately owned intelligent data collection and analytics company.

The acquisition expands Trilliant’s purpose-built product suite to include a robust data offering that has the power to optimise an entire utility value chain and provide deeper business insights.

Headquartered in Bogota, Colombia, PrimeStone specialises in data collection and analytics and has a customer base that reaches across the globe. It has a strong presence across North America with investor-owned utilities, federal agencies and cooperatives in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Its reach extends into Asia and Africa, bringing a robust presence that strengthens Trilliant’s position within the global energy industry.

PrimeStone Technologies was founded in 1990 by a team of industry experts, with over 25 years of experience in meter data collection, management and analytics. In 1995 it shifted its energies into the development of its prime energy suite software.
