French firm Nexans has teamed up with Zaphiro Technologies, a Swiss company specialising in grid monitoring and supervision, to support public and private power network operators in their digital transformation.

This partnership combines Nexans’ expertise in asset-level monitoring and management with Zaphiro’s grid-wide real-time supervision and visibility.

Together, the companies will offer a suite of digital tools designed to improve operational awareness, enhance power quality monitoring, reduce outage impacts, and support preventive and predictive maintenance as well as long-term grid planning.

“As electrification accelerates, ensuring grid reliability and security has never been more critical,” said Elyette Roux, Nexans (www.nexans.com) vice president. “At Nexans, we see the future grid as smart and sustainable, enabling global decarbonisation and resilient energy distribution. Our partnership with Zaphiro is a bold step towards that vision. Together, we are not just monitoring the grid, we are shaping the essential energy systems of tomorrow.”

Frédéric Tréfois, CEO of Zaphiro (zaphiro.ch), added: “Nexans and Zaphiro offer highly complementary solutions. Our SynchroGuard platform brings grid-scale supervision and monitoring capabilities that enrich Nexans’ strong offering in asset management. Together, we provide a full-spectrum digital toolbox for distribution network operators looking to modernise their infrastructure with intelligence and precision.”

The joint offering from Nexans and Zaphiro aims to empower utilities with the actionable data and visibility they need to face the challenges of the energy transition, electrification and increasing demand for grid reliability.
