New York real-time energy intelligence and distributed grid optimisation company Intellastar is working with Loudon Energy Analytics to expand market participation, enhance energy forecasting and unlock value streams for commercial and industrial energy users.
As part of this partnership, Intellastar will integrate Orfeus, a stochastic modelling tool developed by researchers at Princeton University under the DoE Arpa-E Perform project and commercialised by Loudon Energy, into its flagship Energy Analyst platform. This integration will enable forecasting, market scenario planning and real-time optimisation across ISO markets.
Rana Mukerji, founder of Loudon Energy Analytics (www.loudonenergy.com) and former senior vice president at NYISO, has joined Intellastar as an advisor.
“This collaboration allows us to bridge real-time operations with forward-looking market strategies,” said Mukerji. “By combining Orfeus with Intellastar’s Energy Analyst platform, we’re equipping customers with the intelligence needed to manage uncertainty and maximise opportunity in dynamic energy markets.”
Stephen Lynch, CEO of Intellastar (intellastar.com), added: “Rana’s insight and the capabilities of Orfeus will significantly enhance our ability to deliver economic value through data-driven decisions. Together, we’re building the tools that energy users need to thrive in the next generation of the grid.”
The priorities of the collaboration include: integration of predictive analytics and stochastic modelling into real-time platforms; expansion of demand-side resource optimisation in capacity and ancillary service markets; and joint development of scalable strategies for load-serving entities and distributed energy providers.
Intellastar delivers energy management, SkySpark services and IoT connectivity to optimise efficiency and sustainability, and provide cost savings through technology and real-time insights.
