Beam has installed a BeamWell off-grid solar desalination, energy, and e-mobility system in Zarqa, the second largest city in Jordan. The system has been installed to provide clean drinking water, electricity for medical supplies, and e-mobility solutions during emergencies for areas without utilities or passable roads.
The BeamWell system produces 3,000 litres of clean drinking water per day and provides electricity for cooking and refrigeration of medical supplies. It also includes ruggedised e-mobility solutions for the delivery of food, water, and medicine. These will be deployed by the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Royal Medical Services to crisis zones during emergencies.
Beam Global CEO Desmond Wheatley was on site for the deployment and met with US Ambassador to Jordan officials to discuss potential future opportunities for BeamWell deployments in the region.
The system is based on patented EV ARC technology and provides three essential services: turning seawater into fresh water, generating electricity, and charging electric mopeds for distribution of vital resources.
