Verdek has begun development of an EV charging project in the Borough of the Bronx, New York City. The project is designed to support New York City’s transition to sustainable transportation. It will bring essential EV infrastructure to one of the busiest boroughs in the city upon its completion.
The Bronx project will expand access to EV charging for urban communities and feature an array of charging options to serve a wide range of EV users. These will include DC Fast Charging units and Level 2 Chargers.
The DC Fast Charging (DCFC) units will have power ranging from 50kW to 175KW to provide rapid charging solutions. Level 2 Chargers will be available for drivers that will park for longer times and have the car charged while they do their shopping or work.
The project aligns with New York City’s public transit agency’s vision for a greener future by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and promoting EV adoption across the city.
“Our work at White Plains Rd reflects Verdek’s dedication to bringing sustainable solutions to densely populated areas,” said Guy Mannino, CEO of Verdek LLC. “We’re proud to partner with the agency to make EV charging convenient, efficient, and accessible to Bronx residents.”
