MiSK City MoU with Samsung on innovation

Saudi smart city Mohammed bin Salman Non-Profit City (MiSK) and Samsung have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to further cooperation on smart city technologies. The MoU includes agreement on exchange of expertise, introduction of advanced technologies, and development of local talent.

Misk City is designed to be an incubator smart city, with technology and societal goals connected with the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation. The Misk City aims to build a sustainable community that attracts residents and visitors through an innovative environment. The city has a strong focus on creating an urban environment centred on people and innovation.

The areas of the agreement include exchanging expertise and providing solutions that have a lasting impact on smart city life and empowering local talent, innovators and entrepreneurs. The collaborative efforts will also focus on developing training programmes specifically designed to hone the basic skills of Saudi youth with the aim of enhancing smart city experiences. These programmes will later be hosted and delivered in Misk City.

The CEO of Misk City, Mr David Henry, said “Signing this memorandum of understanding represents an important step in line with Misk City’s strategic vision, which is to create an integrated system that supports innovation and creativity among Saudi youth,” stressing the importance of working side by side with Samsung to create a vibrant and innovative environment that presents a unique model for smart cities.”
