Arizona-based Iveda has installed its IvedaAI platform across the Philippine city of Bacoor. It has also installed the first AI-based Forensics Desk in the Philippines at the Bacoor City Police Station.

The twin installations mark the second deployment under Iveda Philippines’ broader $3 million smart-city initiative aimed at modernising metropolitan Manila and beyond.

Located just south of Metro Manila, Bacoor is Cavite’s second-largest city and home to nearly 700,000 residents. One of the wealthiest local governments in the region, the city has invested heavily in public safety and infrastructure.

By integrating IvedaAI’s real-time analytics with Bacoor’s expansive CCTV network, officials can now detect and respond to critical incidents quickly.

The new IvedaAI Forensics Desk equips local police with the ability to instantly analyse citizen-supplied video — from SD cards and flash drives to mobile phones. This reduces what once took hours of manual review to seconds.

“Securing city-wide adoption takes patience and partnership, but momentum is building,” said David Ly, CEO and Founder of Iveda. “Our smart city contracts in metro Manila are growing, and we’re seeing municipalities across the capital region embrace AI as the next logical step for public safety for each neighbourhood or ‘Barangay.’ With more than 42,000 barangays across the Philippines, each with its own police unit, IvedaAI for CCTV and the Forensics Desk for each police unit, is a winning combination that scales.”
