Huawei has launched an urban digital twins architecture. The company’s new Global City Intelligent Twins Architecture is designed to accelerate digital transformation of cities.
The company appears to be targeting cities and governments in Asia, the Middle East and Africa with its new city digital twins architecture.
According to Huawei, the new digital twins architecture is aimed at addressing growing intricacy of urban management as smart cities evolve.
Huawei has built cloud native and AI algorithms to support cloud migration and the intelligent transformation of all services. The integrated city big data system is designed to maximise the value of the data.
Huawei digital infrastructure has been deployed in over 200 cities across more than 40 countries.
Wang Bin, President of the Marketing & Solution Sales Department of Government Public Services Digitalisation Business Unit, Huawei, revealed the company’s smart city evolution roadmap. He said that the development of China’s smart cities has evolved from informatisation to digitalisation, and then to intelligence. The company has accumulated diversified practices in infrastructure construction, intelligent centre capability building, and upper-layer application development in China, Wang said. These practices can provide effective reference for cities to achieve intelligent efficiency improvement.
