Educational tech firm Agilix Labs is partnering SchoolsPLP to integrate BusyBee, an AI teaching assistant, across their K-12 course library.

Built on Amazon Bedrock, the integration of BusyBee will combine AI with a user-friendly SchoolsPLP educational experience. BusyBee analyses student work, providing instant feedback and allowing teachers to focus on higher-value instructional activities.

Benefits for SchoolsPLP Partners Include:

  • Immediate AI enhancement of existing SchoolsPLP courses
  • Zero additional setup required
  • Comprehensive support system for teachers and students
  • Enhanced personalised learning
  • Real-time feedback for students
  • Reduced grading time for teachers

The integration launches with SchoolsPLP participating in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) programme to assist with testing.

Early testing shows BusyBee’s Grading Assistant reduces feedback time by up to 80% per submission, transforming a traditional 5-minute grading task into a 60-second interaction. Teachers can now provide personalised feedback on five times more assignments — transforming an hour of grading into twelve minutes.

“What excites me most about BusyBee is how it empowers both sides of the classroom,” said BJ Dines, Founder and CEO of SchoolsPLP. “Teachers get time back for meaningful instruction, while students gain real experience with AI technology. By integrating predictive grading, we’re enhancing student engagement and nurturing an effective learning environment that equips students for success in their future careers.”

“The education landscape is rapidly evolving, and AI integration is no longer optional – it’s essential,” adds Dines. “Our partnership with Agilix, the developer of BusyBee, ensures that schools using SchoolsPLP are at the forefront of this transformation, equipped with tools that make a real difference in teaching and learning outcomes.”
