New York edge computing firm Veea has partnered with Missouri-based Lynxspring to enhance smart building management and automation.
Lynxspring provides open software and hardware platforms for smarter buildings, smart equipment, and device-to-enterprise integration. The partnership with Veea aims to rollout technologies that simplify data management, improve operational efficiency and enable real-time decision-making for building owners and operators.
The combined offering leverages Veea’s edge computing capabilities alongside Lynxspring’s edge-to-cloud building management and data management to create an ecosystem for managing smart environments, including buildings, campuses, agriculture and cities. This integration normalises wired and wireless endpoints, expanding the available dataset for actionable insights across various use cases.
Benefits of the partnership should include: multiaccess connectivity and seamless integration with most systems, devices and equipment; independent data layer; federated machine learning with edge AI; enhanced analytics for real-time data access and data modelling; accelerated outcomes; and centralised control and access.
The collaboration aims to set benchmarks in building automation, smarter agriculture and smart city development. By integrating Veea’s and Lynxspring’s technologies, the partnership focuses on advancing technology while delivering tangible outcomes in operational efficiency, data use and control.
Veea CEO Allen Salmasi said Lynxspring’s 23 years of experience in OT connectivity, technology development and deployment, integration and interoperability, and its ability to complement Veea’s technology through software, hardware and support services, made it an ideal partner.
“Integrating the Lynxspring platform with the Veea edge platform enables us to address a wide range of use cases through combined offerings of our products and services,” said Salmasi.
Marc Petock, vice president at Lynxspring, added: “The partnership between Veea and Lynxspring is a major step forward for the industry, combining Veea’s expertise in leveraging containerised portable on edge servers with Lynxspring’s innovative, OT data-driven E2E platform, and integration and interoperability. Together, we look forward to bringing innovation, real-time analytics and enhanced control to the smart building market, helping our clients achieve their decarbonisation and operational efficiency targets.”
