Tuya Smart is helping develop smart home products for the Sri Lankan market in partnership with local connectivity provider Dialog Axiata.
This partnership grants Dialog access to California-based Tuya’s platform that enables IoT, secure cloud, data connectivity and networking.
Tuya identified Dialog as a partner to serve Sri Lanka’s growing demand for affordable and accessible smart home products.
“We see the Sri Lankan smart home market as a key one for our global expansion and are enthusiastic about helping Dialog become a driving force in their home market,” said Ross Luo, general manager of Tuya in Asia Pacific. “We’ll achieve this by providing our leading platform and expertise to help them deliver smart home products at a lower cost.”
The co-developed smart products are compatible with Dialog’s SmartLife app, which offers a customisable, secure and seamless intelligent home experience.
“Dialog’s SmartLife brings the future today to Sri Lankan homes and small enterprises,” said Rainer Deutschmann, group chief operating officer of Dialog. “From anywhere and at any time, SmartLife users now can control their home and office appliances such as ACs and lights, receive real-time burglar alarms, or give them peace of mind by checking on their kids at home through a camera. We are happy to partner with Tuya to ensure state-of-the-art, reliable and secure connected devices are available in Sri Lanka with an ever-growing choice. SmartLife is designed to grow with the expanding requirements of our customers, from one smoke sensor or video doorbell to a fully connected home.”
South Asian Technologies is working with Dialog to offer various IoT smart devices from Tuya to Sri Lankan consumers.
“We are confident that this partnership with Dialog will create a new lifestyle in the community, guaranteeing a truly smart and connected home experience,” said Sanjaya Padmaperuma, CEO of South Asian Technologies.
