Swedish operator Tele2 and Haltian, a Finland-based IoT company, have launched a partnering programme to support B2B and IoT users in digitalising their offices.

Haltian’s smart hardware for smart buildings lets large corporations manage their offices and workspaces more efficiently and in a sustainable way through, among other things, energy optimisation and perceptive building usage.

Tele2 is expanding its partnering programme with Haltian. Through the programme, Tele2 can offer the IoT market an ecosystem that gives users access to services in all verticals. Haltian’s platform and sensors should enable Tele2 IoT clients to optimise workspaces by tracking people’s movements to identify underused workspaces.

“Haltian is a respected actor within IoT and a strong complement in the Tele2 IoT partner universe,” said Cyril Deschanel, managing director for IoT at Tele2. “They will support our ambitions to be more instrumental in the sustainable evolution of our customers.”

The partnership will run for an initial two years, with possible further future collaboration.

“This partnership is a great match for us,” said Pasi Leipälä, CEO of Haltian. “Together we make the future of buildings available for all companies.”

Tele2 was founded in 1993. Today, its networks enable mobile and fixed connectivity, telephony, data network services, TV, streaming, and global IoT for millions of users.

Haltian is an IoT and product development company from Finland. Its services include Thingsee, an IoT technology platform that enables faster IoT launches for mass-scale deployments, and the Empathic Building digital twin service for smart buildings. Haltian also provides product development dervices to help companies get their product from an idea to market ready.
