SONOFF picks Silicon Labs SoC for Micro Zigbee

Smart home technology provider SONOFF has selected Silicon Labs MG21 2.4 GHz SoC for its new Micro Zigbee USB Smart Adaptor, the ZBMicro smart switch. The ZBMicro is both a smart switch for USB devices and a Zigbee router.
Silicon Labs’ MG21 SoC is designed for Zigbee applications. It offers a number of advantages for ZBMicro, including output power, RF performance, and processing capability. MG21 is a multi-protocol SoC in Silicon Labs’ Series 2, and supports multiple IoT protocols such as Zigbee, Thread and Bluetooth Mesh.
MG21 SoC comes with Silicon Labs’ Secure Vault IoT security, which meets PSA Level 3 certification, to greatly reduce IoT security vulnerabilities and ensure safe and stable operation of devices.
