Canadian device maker Sinopé Technologies has introduced a line of wifi thermostats for HVAC systems to optimise comfort and energy savings in homes equipped with central heating and heat pumps.
Compatible with dual-energy, these thermostats increase savings thanks to Éco Sinopé, a free feature in the Neviweb app that facilitates participation in energy efficiency programmes offered by utility providers.
Connecting directly to wifi, the thermostats offer features such as remote control, geofencing and detailed energy consumption graphs. Their sleek, modern design with smooth curves and a black finish blends into most interiors. The colour touchscreen displays the time, indoor and outdoor temperature, and setpoints at all times, day and night.
“We’re proud to offer these high-performance thermostats to our customers, especially as the available and upcoming rebates will make it easier for more households to enjoy the many benefits of a smart thermostat,” said Maxime Labonté, chief commercial officer at Sinopé Technologies.
The product line includes three versions tailored for homeowners and professionals:
- Lite: Designed for residential users.
- Pro: Developed for professionals, it features broad compatibility thanks to a remote connection module, suitable for more complex installations.
- Pro Lite: Tailored to the needs of professional installers, this device combines ease of installation with high-performance.
Pro (www.sinopetech.com/en/pages/pro-hvac-solutions) versions are available exclusively through Sinopé Technologies’ network of partner distributors.
As soon as their compatibility is officially announced this year, Sinopé HVAC thermostats connected to Hydro-Québec’s Hilo app will entitle users to a $150 bonus per device. These models join the growing list of Hilo-compatible Sinopé thermostats, which have enabled users to receive up to $2400 in bonuses since autumn 2024.
In addition, the Pro for Central System is eligible for a $100 grant from Energir, or up to a maximum of 75% of the thermostat’s purchase price. Customers have 30 days after purchase to submit a subsidy request via the Customer Centre on the Energir web site (energir.com/en/residential/customer-centre/reduce-my-consumption/energy-efficiency-grants/thermostat-intelligent). The other two versions (Pro Lite and Lite) are undergoing certification.
