Signify, formerly Philips Lighting, has launched a platform to access innovations in smart lighting.

The Pioneers of Light portal provides access to innovations in lighting, a suite of tools and other resources, to help find the perfect lighting. It is designed to the needs, problems and workflows of the lighting design community

“Lighting designs are rapidly becoming more creative and ambitious than ever, driven by client requirements having increased focus on all pillars of sustainability,” said Darren Smith from Signify (www.signify.com). “As a result, lighting projects are becoming more complex. With the launch of the Pioneers of Light portal, at Signify, we aim to partner with the design community to empower them to bring their clients projects and vision to life with lighting that makes a difference.”

The portal (www.signify.com/en-gb/specifier) provides immediate access to various tools in one place. These include:

• One-stop product configurator: This lets users browse, configure and specify lighting products in one easy-to-use tool. Whether they want to make a first, quick selection based on a few simple photometric parameters or create a fully-fledged, detailed configuration, the tool offers all functionality. When finished, they can download all relevant information for configuration with a single click and even generate a configuration ID to share with clients or use for price inquiries.
• Quick light plan calculator: The intuitive light calculator saves time and puts together a light plan for simple indoor office and industrial applications. Users fill out the dimensions, properties and performance requirements of the space and it will set up a light plan that meets the project’s standards.
• Dialux or Relux: Drag and drop photometric files directly into Dialux or Relux lighting projects and create a bill of materials including a configuration ID for easy ordering.

On the platform, the design community can also benefit from case studies for inspiration and ideas, and have easy access to all Signify brands, webinars, training and educational resources about smart lighting, system features and capabilities, to help them stay updated.
