IM Properties is making its mixed-use scheme at Blythe Valley Park in Solihull, near Birmingham, UK, more energy efficient by implementing ZenLumen LoRa-based smart street lighting from Indian company Enzen.
 
Enzen delivered this project in collaboration with its group companies Wellness TechGroup, and NNNCo. Wellness TechGroup develops and implements IoT, cyber security, big data and artificial intelligence. NNNCo is an Australian IoT enterprise provider and LoRaWan operator. The company provides the network layer and technology-agnostic data platform that makes IoT accessible across any industry.
 
IM Properties will be able to monitor and control the park’s lighting infrastructure, detect real-time energy consumption and any operational irregularities. This should deliver energy efficiency, safeguard the public and optimise maintenance. In addition, ZenLumen, which has integrated telecoms and networking capabilities, will offer real-time system updates.
 
The installation should deliver significant lighting efficiency and is expected to reduce the park’s annual lighting energy consumption by more than 60%. Together, the companies are reviewing a sustainability roadmap, which may include future phases of work at Blythe Valley Park.
