Vodafone has published a white paper on IoT security.
IoT data come from devices such as smart meters, solar panels, vending machines and payment terminals, and often have to travel a long way back to the data centre. If a breach happens at any point in that journey, sensitive data are at risk.
Vodafone wraps data in multiple layers of protection, such as multi-factor authentication and end-to-end encryption, to safeguard businesses against unauthorised access.
The company says cyber security underpins everything it does at Vodafone Business. Its global security team reviews and updates security standards regularly.
Vodafone is enhancing its coverage for managing privileged access to the network and IT systems, and its focus remains on staying ahead and anticipating its customers’ needs.
