Telenor IoT is providing Swedish energy storage developer Polarium with managed IoT connectivity globally.

Polarium will use Telenor IoT’s cellular managed connectivity to offer a range of digital options, including fleet management, remote monitoring, anti-theft and tracking services.

Polarium’s fleet management service lets users remotely monitor, control and optimise their entire battery fleet. It offers predictive and preventive management, identifying issues before they harm operations, ultimately saving time and resources.

Benefits for users include data-driven insights, analytics and advice for battery usage, optimisation, and early detection of potential errors. This leads to more efficient troubleshooting, intelligent battery resource allocation, and peace of mind with warranty-compliant battery handling.

To help combat battery theft, Polarium has developed an intelligent anti-theft system featuring a patent-pending locking mechanism and real-time tracking.

“With managed IoT connectivity, we streamline operations, reduce ownership costs and provide anti-theft capabilities,” said Stefan Jansson, CEO of Polarium. “We’re proud to partner with Telenor IoT on our ongoing transformation.”

Paulo Vergos from Telenor IoT added: “Partnering with Polarium is a perfect match for our commitment to providing innovative IoT. Polarium’s innovative approach to energy storage aligns with our mission to deliver dependable global IoT services to even the most remote areas. We look forward to continuing supporting Polarium on their transformation journey.”

Polarium will begin offering connectivity via Telenor IoT on its energy optimisation systems in Sweden. The company anticipates expanding this to more countries, emphasising the importance of anti-theft features for remote deployments.
