RF device provider SkyMirr has launched an ultra-wideband external connectorised antenna. The SkyBlade is designed to function across all global 4G and 5G sub-6 frequency bands. This includes challenging new frequencies in the low 600 MHz band.

Many IoT and RF components and solutions in use today are tailored for specific countries or regions. Employing SkyMirr’s Multilayer Coupling Controlled Antenna Technology (MulCAT), SkyBlade is designed to address the challenge of supporting diverse regional frequency allocations with a single solution. This entails covering a wide bandwidth of more than three octaves from 600 MHz to 6 GHz necessary to support all the various regional allocations.

The new SkyBlade features an external SMA connector and upgrades any existing 4G/5G CPE or router to improve its performance beyond its original configuration. These performance improvements typically are realised as increased connection distance and faster data speeds.

“SkyMirr is committed to pioneering solutions for the evolving RF landscape as the world transitions from 4G to 5G,” said Kerry Greer, Co-founder and CRO of SkyMirr. “Our innovations aim to enhance wireless technology globally, benefiting customers across multiple sectors.”
