Laird Connectivity has added 5G and CBRS functionality to its OC series of rugged infrastructure antennas.

The expanded bandwidth OC69421 antenna provides global cellular coverage from a single rugged antenna providing indoor or outdoor infrastructure for multiple markets.

The antenna has expanded bandwidth omnidirectional coverage of the global cellular bands including 4G, 5G and CBRS frequencies 698 to 4200MHz. This is backed by Ohio-based Laird’s five-year warranty on all antenna products.

Features include:

  • Applicable for 4G, 5G and CBRS
  • Rugged outdoor construction
  • Omnidirectional patterns
  • Wideband operation from 698 to 4200MHz
  • Weatherproof UV-stable radome
  • Mast mounting hardware included
  • Five-year warranty

The wideband cellular coverage and inclusion of sub-6GHz 5G and CBRS frequencies makes this antenna versatile for multiple applications including public safety, IoT, smart utilities, industrial, agricultural, and remote monitoring and control.

The OC series of antennas now includes the following variants, providing a full range of rugged infrastructure antennas: OC80271 806-960 and 1710-2700MHz; OC69271 698-960 and 1710-2700MHz; and OC69421 698-960, 1710-2700 and 3300-4200MHz.

All have omnidirectional radiation patterns across the horizon without performance degrading radiation nulls. This is said to make the series reliable for applications where communications are critical to success.

The OC69421 antenna can be used in indoor and outdoor applications, comes with mast mounting hardware and has a UV stable, IP67-rated radome enclosure. This will provide years of operations without degradation of either mechanical properties or aesthetics.

Laird Connectivity simplifies wireless connectivity with modules, antennas, IoT devices and user-specific wireless products.
