KORE’s OmniCore has won M2M Platform of the Year in the annual IoT Breakthrough awards.

IoT Breakthrough is a market intelligence organisation that recognises companies, technologies and products in the global IoT market.

OmniCore (www.korewireless.com/omnicore) is a managed cloud service to connect IoT devices easily and securely to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and route messages directly to GCP cloud services. It lets businesses seamlessly collect, process and act on massive amounts of data generated by connected devices. The platform also provides management tools, with the ability to control and configure IoT devices.

OmniCore comes with familiar APIs and a console user experience, as well as device and field gateway options, to connect and setup devices and routing. Features include the ability to onboard devices using console, API or zero-touch provisioning. Users can connect their devices securely with per-device public/private key authentication using JSon web tokens. KORE also offers IoT safe SIM integration for device-level security.

Additionally, the platform offers the ability to send telemetry and state information to the cloud using MQTT v5.0 and MQTT over WSS or HTTP protocols. Devices are managed using configuration and direct commands with over-the-air device update capability. In-console device testing also results in faster and cheaper diagnostic testing.

“KORE is an expert IoT partner, and OmniCore’s unique features have not previously been available through other solutions,” said Steve Johansson, managing director at IoT Breakthrough (IoTBreakthrough.com). “Companies need an IoT core service that helps them easily and securely connect their devices, route messages to cloud services, and receive telemetry data. KORE doesn’t require additional hardware, and positions businesses to have better IoT control and scalability. We’re pleased to name OmniCore M2M Platform of the Year. This logical, powerful platform for IoT core legacy customers helps avoid disruptions and enjoy enhanced IoT functionality.”

Romil Bahl, CEO of KORE (www.korewireless.com), added: “We’re honoured to receive this recognition from IoT Breakthrough. It represents our dedication to fortifying trust in a connected world. Google choosing us as a strategic partner to avoid disruption of operations for customers, provided a great challenge for our team of innovators. Through hard work and collaboration, we deliver IoT to businesses with ease and simplicity. We’ll continue helping our customers adopt IoT by reducing complexities, and levelling the playing field for IoT connectivity and management.”
