Chinese tech giant Huawei is gearing up for a mass product launch on 19 September, with devices from wearables to tablets.
One of the highlights is set to be the next GT smartwatch. This is expected to integrate the firm’s recently unveiled TruSense system, which promises to enhance health and fitness tracking with more precise and comprehensive data. Introduced in August, TruSense also supports emotional health-related functions, a potential game-changer in wearable tech.
When it comes to design, the GT 5 watch is said to push the boundaries of fashion and versatility. Teasers on Huawei’s social media have hinted at sharp-edged geometric designs crafted from premium materials such as metallic titanium alloy and white ceramic, offering a stylish addition to the smartwatch market.
Another anticipated release is the new edition of the Ultimate watch, which is, based on teasers, likely to introduce features focusing on golf. Teasers also sneak peeked a dual-colour bezel design to enhance the watch’s aesthetic appeal.
The next blood pressure monitor is to be launched in the firm’s D 2 watch, suggest teasers released on Huawei’s social media pages.
Huawei (www.huawei.com) suggested a focus on expanding health tracking capabilities during the TruSense launch, with media reports indicating it may introduce ABPM (ambulatory blood pressure monitoring) in its wearable devices. This may be the world’s first smartwatch to support dynamic blood pressure monitoring.
The last major release in this area was the D watch back in 2021, which was EU CE medical certified and well-received for its ability to measure blood pressure.
Two new tablets will debut during the launch event, the MatePad Pro and MatePad12 X. A notable upgrade for the MatePad Pro is the inclusion of a Tandem OLED PaperMatte display, which boasts anti-glare capabilities, eye-soothing properties and a pen-on-paper writing experience. The launch will also introduce an upgraded Glide keyboard, possibly featuring stylus storage and seamless connectivity.
MatePad12 X is designed as a productivity focused tablet for young, trendsetting users, with shimmery pearlescent polish, and elegant, low saturation colourways.
