IoT connectivity firm Digi has certified its EX50 5G cellular router for implementation in Telcloud’s POTS replacement offering for telecommunications resellers, MSPs and channel partners.
Together, Telcloud and Digi provide the infrastructure, expertise and support to help the channel optimise connectivity and seamlessly transition from over one billion legacy POTS lines to modern options. This alliance is part of Digi’s channel strategy to align with complementary technologies to help bring products to its distribution channel.
The offering includes Telcloud’s white label, cloud-managed POTS line replacement platform as well as Digi’s cellular routers, complete with Digi 360 and integrated remote management, enabling fast, reliable and scalable deployments.
Adding the EX50 5G router as a certified device for Telcloud’s POTS line telecommunications providers, resellers and MSPs provides a scalable POTS line replacement platform that is PoE+ compliant for easier installation and designed to integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructures.
“Digi EX50 stood out in our testing, not just for its performance, but for how seamlessly it fits into our deployment model,” said Jake Jacoby, CEO of Telcloud. “Being able to power it directly through our device using power over Ethernet, without the need for a PoE injector, simplifies setup and reduces clutter. This gives faster, cleaner installations with fewer components and reduced risk.”
Dane Surkamer, Digi vice president, added: “Our channel strategy at Digi is rooted in a channel-first approach. By aligning with our technology alliances and complementary technologies, we’re bringing more to our channel partners, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to our channel’s success.”
Telcloud enables channel partners worldwide to grow their businesses with a customisable white label communications platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) for POTS line replacement. Future-proofing critical infrastructure deployments with Telcloud, along with the secure, scalable EX50 5G unit, helps telecommunications providers quickly realise recurring revenue opportunities while providing cost-effective options for their customers.
The EX50 (www.digi.com/products/networking/cellular-routers/enterprise/digi-ex50) has active PoE+ switch or DC IN for primary and backup power, resilient cellular connection through Digi’s SureLink, VRRP+ protocol and dual SIM slots, and extended operating temperature range for wider use-cases. Additionally, standards-based PoE simplifies installation.
Founded in 1985, Digi (www.digi.com) has helped customers connect more than 100 million things and counting.
Delaware-based Telcloud (telcloud.com) is a CPaaS provider delivering scalable, white-labelled POTS line replacement to telecommunications providers, resellers and MSPs. Designed to integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure, it enables partners to offer wireless services, modernise legacy systems and unlock recurring revenue with little effort.
