IoT connectivity firm Digi will celebrate at this week’s CES in Las Vegas that shipments of its XBee modules have passed the 25 million mark.
At the event, Digi will showcase IoT products and services that empower manufacturers to accelerate bringing connected products to market and enable OEMs to focus on innovation while ensuring seamless connectivity, security and reliability in their smart devices.
The announcements at CES will include that more than 25 million XBee modules have shipped, marking a major milestone in the 20-year history of Xbee devices (www.digi.com/products/embedded-systems/digi-xbee). Digi customers have deployed XBees in a vast range of connected applications where reliable connectivity is crucial, from EV charging stations, drones, irrigation systems and medical devices to experiments in space.
On the stand, Digi will feature Husqvarna’s robotic lawn mower and National Control Devices’ predictive monitoring system, both designed with XBee.
Also on show will be the Digi X-On edge-to-cloud device that integrates hardware, software and cloud connectivity into a single, secure and reliable platform that delivers measurable business value, supporting applications and use cases such as connected cities, smart utilities, industrial IoT and smart agriculture.
Digi will share new system-on-modules in its ConnectCore (www.digi.com/products/embedded-systems/digi-connectcore) family with features that support designs with edge AI and wireless connectivity, all supported with ConnectCore cloud and security services.
Visitors to the stand will experience hands-on exhibits demonstrating IoT sensors with edge-to-cloud communications that support the mission critical needs of operations in precision agriculture, water management, smart building retrofit and more.
“From powering applications in space to smart cities, over 25 million Digi XBee modules are proving what’s possible in IoT with Digi,” said Mike Rohrmoser, vice president at Digi. “We’re building on this experience to help customers across industries to move and innovate faster – from initial concept through large-scale deployment – while ensuring their solutions are secure, reliable and scalable in even the most challenging conditions.”
Digi (www.digi.com) will be on stand #10371 in the North Hall at CES (www.ces.tech).
