California-based wireless connectivity provider Airgain announced at last week’s SIL logistics conference in Barcelona an alliance with Spanish IoT provider Sensing & Control (S&C).

Airgain’s innovation, design and manufacturing expertise along with a reputation for delivering reliable trackers for the logistics, distribution, construction, manufacturing and industrial industries, will combine with S&C’s years of experience in creating end-to-end IoT for the Spanish market.

This means customers in Spain will be able to take advantage of the technology that will allow them to have accurate information on the actual hours of use, plan better maintenance programmes, extend the useful life of their machinery and equipment, reduce costs and expenses, and implement models to make businesses more efficient.

“The association with S&C will allow us to bring the most innovative technology to the Spanish market, helping us to expand our presence in several different vertical markets,” said Airgain CEO Jacob Suen.

Narcis Avellana, CEO at S&C, added: “Working closely with Airgain will result in more innovative, scalable and affordable solutions for the market.”

Airgain provides wireless connectivity that creates and delivers embedded components, external antennas and integrated systems across the globe. It simplifies wireless connectivity across a diverse set of devices and markets, from solving complex connectivity problems to speeding time to market to enhancing wireless signals.

Its products include three sub-brands. Airgain Embedded represents embedded modems, antennas and development kits to help design teams bring connected products to market quickly. Airgain Integrated represents integrated, off-the-shelf products, such as asset trackers and the AirgainConnect platform, that help solve connectivity problems in an organisation’s operating environment. And Airgain Antenna+ represents external antennas, such as fleet and IoT antennas, that help enhance wireless signals in harsh environments.

Airgain is headquartered in San Diego, California, and maintains design and test centres in the USA, UK and China.
