Taiwanese AIoT firm Advantech is providing AI capabilities at the edge, including support for generative AI and applications across various industries.
This enhancement to its MIC-AI computer system supports Super Mode for Nvidia Jetson Orin Nano systems-on-module (SoMs).
The Super Mode support for Jetson Orin Nano series is said to deliver breakthrough performance in edge AI computing, enhancing GPU and CPU performance to tackle demanding AI workloads with software optimisation. With up to 67Tops of AI computing power, Super Mode enables real-time processing for various applications such as smart manufacturing and industrial automation, intelligent video analytics, AMR, AGV, and smart cities.
Optimised for applications such as large language models (LLMs), vision language models (VLMs) and vision transformers, this software update boosts generative AI performance by 1.7x compared with the previous mode. Super Mode increases GPU frequencies up to 1020MHz and CPU frequencies up to 1.7GHz, enabling up to 67Tops of AI computing power.
Compatible with the latest Nvidia JetPack 6.2 SDK (developer.nvidia.com/embedded/jetpack), it features improved libraries, frameworks and tools for AI development. It supports power budgets up to 25W.
The MIC-711-ON empowers security and in-vehicle AI, with real-time vision analytics from multi-camera vision systems for security monitoring in urban areas and critical infrastructures. The in-vehicle AI supports edge AI processing for fleet management, driver monitoring and vehicle diagnostics, enhancing road safety and efficiency. It integrates AI and IoT to predict equipment failures, reducing downtime for automotive and industrial systems.
The MIC-712-ON advances mobility AI and property management applications. It enables portable AI-powered monitoring for open spaces such as roadside locations, temporary construction sites and parking lots. Robust monitoring for construction sites and facilities prevents unauthorised access. AI-driven mobility powers autonomous drones and smart logistics systems for enhanced mobility and delivery operations.
The MIC-713-ON uses edge AI for logistics and warehouse automation. It powers AI systems for route planning and real-time inventory tracking, and enables robotics systems for sorting, picking and packing tasks. Smart monitoring provides high-resolution analytics for monitoring warehouse and transportation environments.
Seamless integration with the JetPack SDK and tailored support services reduce deployment complexities. Modular options mean flexibility to scale with evolving business requirements.
Expect to see Advantech’s Super Mode support for the Jetson Orin NX available early this year. The Jetson Orin NX upgrade ensures broader scalability and flexibility, empowering businesses to unlock possibilities in edge AI innovation. For more information, go to www.advantech.com.
