IoT intelligence specialist Advantech has formed a partnership with digital engineering firm Nagarro. The partnership will focus on integration of Edge AI hardware and software, with the aim of enhancing Advantech’s EdgeSync software-defined architecture.

By employing a containerised architecture that supports major AI chip providers, the two companines aim to lower development barriers for software and hardware integration.

According to Advantech, the partnership marks a step in its expansion in the Edge AI market, aiming at development of an interconnected edge computing ecosystem across Taiwan, India, Germany, Japan, to accelerate industrial digital transformation worldwide.

Key partnership initiatives will include the development of EdgeSync’s containerised architecture and software development kits. Supporting AI chip providers such as NXP, Qualcomm, and NVIDIA, the partnership aim to offer a one-stop Edge AI software development toolkit. This will allow businesses to rapidly build and deploy Edge AI environments while reducing development complexity and cost.

Advantech will also foster collaboration with industry partners to expand EdgeSync development and broaden Edge AI application scenarios.

Miller Chang, President of Advantech’s Embedded Sector, said: “Advantech has been pioneering edge computing and industrial IoT hardware solutions for over four decades, while Nagarro holds a leading global position in software domains. This collaboration breaks the conventional boundaries between software and hardware development by integrating our technological strengths to build an Edge AI ecosystem and accelerate AI adoption across industries. Within Advantech’s WISE-Edge strategy, the EdgeSync SDK (Software Development Kit) plays a crucial role. Partnering with Nagarro will enhance the completeness and influence of the WISE-Edge platform, providing comprehensive system solutions that enable businesses to deploy AI applications more efficiently. This initiative will drive digital transformation in key industries, including smart manufacturing, healthcare, automation, and transportation.”

Manas Human, CEO & Co-founder of Nagarro, said: “Nagarro is a leader in cloud-based AI solutions, but very often we need to deploy AI on the edge, for reasons of efficiency, latency, privacy, or security. As the number of edge devices is growing exponentially, we expect the Edge AI use cases to grow in proportion. Therefore, it is a special opportunity and privilege to partner today with the global leader in edge computing, Advantech, to jointly build innovative platforms and solutions that will address the specific needs of clients in different industries.”

Mark Yang, Vice President of Advantech’s Embedded Sector, said: “With the emergence of open-source inference models such as DeepSeek, AI applications are expanding rapidly from the cloud to the edge. This shift creates an urgent demand for high-performance, low-latency edge computing solutions across industries. Our collaboration with Nagarro is not only about technological innovation but also about driving business synergy to maximise our global influence and unlock new commercial opportunities. By leveraging our combined strengths, we will offer tailored Edge AI solutions that empower industrial clients with seamless edge computing capabilities. Starting with emerging markets such as India, we plan to expand globally, establishing a connected Edge AI ecosystem that delivers sustainable growth for enterprises worldwide.”
