LG’s 5G-V2X approaches Level 4

LG Electronics has completed a number of deals with a leading European car maker to supply 5G telematics, the company has announced.
Utilising Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) technology, LG’s solutions support connected car and autonomous driving functionalities. This allows them to support improved entertainment services and enhance in-car functions and safety.
LG says its 5G-V2X technology approaches the threshold for Level 4 in which autonomous vehicles no longer require human interaction for operation. According to the company, its technology delivers more consistent vehicle data transmission speeds.
