Taiwanese industrial computer company DFI has unveiled two in-vehicle computers.

The AI-enabled VC500-CMS-MXM and the VP101-M8M provide real-time vehicle telematics and camera-based surveillance in the automotive and commercial vehicles sectors.

DFI president Alexander Su said the in-vehicle systems and touchscreen panel PCs excelled across transportation sectors, including fleet management, monitoring, traffic control and surveillance. The products are certified to meet safety standards for public transportation and adhere to professional certifications in transportation standards worldwide.

The VC500-CMS-MXM (www.dfi.com/product/index/1596) in-vehicle system uses AI at the edge to handle demanding automotive tasks, mining operations and commercial logistics.

Equipped with tenth-generation Intel Xeon, Core, Pentium and Celeron processors and an MXM GPU module for AI processing, it handles advanced computing tasks. Its flexible connectivity options, such as four M12/RJ45 802.11af PoE ports or two 10G SFP+ ports, ensure seamless integration into various environments with high transmission speeds.

With support for an M.2 B key 3042/3052 5G-NR module and dual SIM functionality, it ensures connectivity even in difficult conditions. Additionally, out-of-band management enables remote monitoring and maintenance for enhanced efficiency.

The VP101-M8M (www.dfi.com/product/index/1644), a 25.6cm in-vehicle touch panel PC for the commercial vehicle market, sets a standard in performance and functionality. Its power protection management, featuring power ignition control, safeguards device and vehicle electronics from sudden power fluctuations, ensuring uninterrupted operation in demanding environments. Enhanced vehicle safety is assured with the integration of a six-axis IMU sensor for precise motion detection.

Moreover, its 1200nits high-brightness screen ensures visibility even in bright sunlight. It has E-Mark (R10) certification.

Founded in 1981, DFI (www.dfi.com) is an industrial PC provider across multiple embedded industries. Its industrial-grade products let users optimise their equipment and ensure reliability, long-term lifecycle and round-the-clock durability in industrial automation, medical, gaming, transportation, energy, mission-critical and retail markets.
