Viasat and Videosoft Global are partnering to provide real-time industrial monitoring with AI-powered video streaming. The new service is aimed at industrial operators with remote mining, energy extraction, or widespread industrial infrastructure. It could also be used by energy infrastructure operators and remote logistics operations.

Under the agreement, Videosoft’s video streaming technology will be integrated into Viasat’s operational AI platform INTELIE.

Videosoft Global’s live video streaming solutions use adaptive video compression and transmission technology to deliver high-quality, low-latency streaming over satellite communications. With streaming capabilities from 4kbps over satcom, cellular, and mesh networks, the technology aims to ensure stability in challenging network conditions, while lowering data costs.

INTELIE is Viasat’s operational AI platform for industrial applications, for example, energy and mining. The platform provides a real-time view of what is happening in the field, delivering operational intelligence and real-time predictive analytics.

The integration of Videosoft’s video streaming capability into INTELIE will create a next-generation AI-driven real-time monitoring and analytics solution for delivering mission-critical communications from remote locations worldwide.
